1997-PRESENT

 

This all started when the old Community Centre in Bury Park asked a group of young people if they would like to participate in the Gill Blowers Youth Award which was organised In Luton Arndale  Centre.

In Arndale Centre, the group presented a Stage Play act by themselves on Awareness on Drugs and Youth crime to a large crowed of people.  Due to the excellent performances and high praises that were received JUICE was elected into second place for the Gill Blowers Youth Award and was presented with a cheque of £500 at the Town Hall by the Youth Award to enable the organisation to progress. After consultation with the group members it was decided to purchase DJ Equipments so that all of the youths within the larger community could unite together to express their talents, interests in a progressive way.

Since 1997 Juice members have been participating in various projects and events including working with other voluntary and charity organisation as follows:-

S.N.A.P (1998)

S.N.A.P.  This is a Luton based Voluntary Group. JUICE members helped in creating a national helpline poster on Awareness on Drugs.  

Bury Park Street Mela (1999)

JUICE members Participated in organising Street Mela in Bury Park, providing DJ Equipment and a stage show under Juice promotion.

South & East Luton Youth Area Forum Event (Oct 2000)

Members Helped in organising the Biggest Youth Event in Luton Youth House.

Youth from all across Luton took part in various activities like football tournament, a snooker competition, an Asian fashion show, and to finish off a DJ & MC competition. The Event was called "JUICE: THE NEXT GENERATION". The whole event was filmed edited while the Guest then- Labour Leader Lord Bill Mckenzie was present.

Park Life 2000  (Aug 2000 Luton Stockwood Park)

Participation in providing DJ equipment and staging music in partnership with various local talents. The whole event was staged for three days with arties like Bille piper, Jamelia and the sponsors were Luton Borough Council ,Sony and NTL.

CSV Millennium volunteers (2001-2003)

This organisation was set up by the Government to help young people age between 16 to 24 to participate in voluntary work within their local areas. JUICE MV members had the opportunity to gain experience in their interested lines of work.

JUICE volunteers receive a certificate confirming how many hours they have done and members who completed 200 hours get their signed certificate signed from the state of Education & Department Minister.

From 2001 to 2003 Juice members participated in the Schools and Local Community centre to provide over 800 hours of voluntary work across Bedfordshire and give back something to their communities.

Sylhet Welfare Project (Dec 2004)

Established in Sylhet Bangladesh, JUICE has Helped over 1000 young people in organising various projects and providing community services.

Juice Youth Football Club (Jan 2009)

Established the under 13s football team and participated in the Community Football Tournament(HATTERS CUP 2009) This was held at Luton Town FC. The Juice Youth football team now play in the Chiltren Youth Football League.
